And here are a few pictures along our route to the East Coast. First stop: Toronto’s Union Station where we had to switch trains for Montreal. The iconic CN Tower was just across the skywalk so perfect spot to stretch our legs.
In Montreal we boarded “The Ocean” train (wonderful train station, easy to find your way around, lots to see and good eats to be had) through Quebec, northern New Brunswick and then on to Nova Scotia. As you can see the Fall colours were gorgeous and the Dome car offered the perfect spot to watch Mother Nature in her finest colours.
As we neared Halifax the sun was setting over the water – a glorious welcome indeed!
One of the first outings was to the Halifax Public Gardens. Beautifully restful area in the middle of the city ~ and it’s only a few blocks from our new abode.
