Clever Make 2 from 3

I ran across this blog post by TomOfHolland a while ago and thought I’d share here. The blog post has full instructions with pictures on this fabulous knitting decrease — making 2 stitches from 3. It’s a great way to transition between different lace pattern stitches.

  1. I love this one a lot and use it in some of my work, too. I think of it as a centered single decrease because it leans both right and left.

It can also be worked so that the center stitch comes to the front instead of disappearing to the back. Work the k2tog first, removing only the first stitch from the needle. Then ssk or sl 1-k1-psso to make the left-leaning part.
