Welcome all to the Impeccable Knits stop on the Hitch Blog Tour and a chance to win a copy of the PDF version of this beautiful knitting pattern book Hitch: Patterns Inspired by the Films of Alfred Hitchcock.

Yes, there is a Give-Away!! Read On!!

I have been an Alfred Hitchcock fan for many, many years — from Rear Window to Vertigo to the weekly TV shows that always had a fantastic quirky twist. When the call came for submissions for this book, there was no question!

I looked through some Google images for AH movies and found that Edith Head had created costume designs for 11 Hitch movies including Notorious, The Birds and The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956). This last is what caught my eye, and specifically this sketch. (TMWKTM film was originally made in 1934 and actually included a very funny knitting related scene!)

And from that sketch developed this sketch:

Ambrose Chapel Capelet by Luise ONeill - The Man Who Knew Too Much

So the Ambrose Chapel Capelet was born — and to my great joy, was chosen to be among the select for this book!

Fun Hitchcock Facts?

1) Hitch was famous for his cameo appearances in his own films, so, in which film did Alfred Hitchcock make his first cameo appearance?

2) What is the name of the theme Hitch used for his 1960s TV series?

(answers are posted in the Hitch Blog Tour Give-Away thread in the Impeccable Knits Ravelry group)
