A fantastic new knitting pattern book is coming celebrating the mastermind of Alfred Hitchcock – Hitch: Patterns Inspired by the Films of Alfred Hitchcock!

This is my Ambrose Chapel Capelet. I’m so excited to have it as part of this marvelous collection!

If you’re a Hitch fan, you probably recognize the name from the movie ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’ starring Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day. The capelet was inspired by one of the costumes that Edith Head designed for Doris Day for this film. (more on this later!)

The talented Stephannie Tallent of Sunset Cat Designs curated this collection and looking at all of the patterns in this collections I am super thrilled!

Pre-orders for the book start September 5, 2013 on the Cooperative Press website. There’ll be a Bonus pattern included (one of Stephannie’s exclusive designs) for all pre-orders.

The yarn used for this pattern is a luscious Indigodragonfly MCS worsted in ‘Only the Exact Phrase I Used Was, “Don’t” (Inara)’.

Knit these designs while watching your favourite Hitch film 🙂
