Sneak Peek #3: Guilty Feet Socks

Guilty Feet Socks

Available March 27, 2013

The excitement continues! about this brand new collection of six knitting patterns “In Tune” that will be published March 27, 2013 by Knit Picks.

So, from the pattern collection intro:

“From the ethereal voice of Enya to the heart-stirring Irish airs of Tommy Makem to the social harmonies of Ultimate Spinach, music stirs our emotions and influences our being.”

This pattern came into being as a result of George Michael’s song Careless Whisper. How could you not create a pattern from a song that mentions ‘guilty feet’? These socks feature a twisted-stitch design (complicated relationships, anyone?) on the front and back leg and the top of the foot; these socks are top-down, mid-calf socks and begin with an Estonian Cast On.

I love the intricate look of twisted stitch patterns and yet they’re really not difficult at all! The only yarn choice for this pattern really is Knit Picks Capretta (80% Fine Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon) — cashmere, talk about guilty pleasures!

On March 27th, check the Impeccable Knits Ravelry Storefront for the pattern listings and links and check out the Knit Picks books selection.
