I did take another stab at reversing the pattern but I still can’t make it create a mirror image — I have another idea that I want to try tomorrow or the next day. I’ve been trying to create the pattern by knitting — this time I’m going to try charting the mirror image and then knit it to see if it will work. I’ll let you know.
With the Cridhe Irish Heartbeat child’s aran sweater finished, I am down to writing the pattern for the Celtic Jenna Rose top (thanks to some wonderful test knitters about whom I cannot say enough good things!)
The Celtic Jenna Rose top is due to be published at the end of the month — crossing fingers and toes!!
The “Let’s Tidy Up” bug bit about a couple of weeks ago and I decided that I had to finish all my wip’s before starting something new — it does feel good not trying to keep 6 projects on the go at the same time!!! Just one more to go.
Now that doesn’t mean I stopped doodling and scribbling and drawing and semi-swatching…..
I have one skein of Fleece Artist Somoko (blue lagoon) and one skeing in a white – pale green colourway (which I can’t seem to find on their website and it came without a label so can’t name the colourway).
I’ve been playing with different stitch combinations for this yarn, and am finding that it’s sooo difficult to find any pattern that shows the yarn and the pattern off really well. The colour changes in the yarn simply obscure the pattern.
More knitting is required :))
