This is a very low twist yarn, as you can tell from the stitches on the front needle in the picture — very little stitch definition on the needle, so you have to be a little careful not to split the yarn as you knit. However, it’s not as bad as I initially feared when I first cast on.
It does “bloom” a little (i.e. has little fuzzies) so if your nose is easily tickled, this may not be the best choice for a scarf, hat or nose warmer. It is a soft yarn, but there is the tiniest bit of scratchiness to it so, again, if you have very sensitive skin, use it for an over-garment rather than something close to the skin.
Pictured is one of my WIPs on a set of 5mm[CA/UK6, US8]. It’s creating the fabric texture and feel that I want for this project, but you could easily go up a needle size or two (yarn label recommends 5.5mm [CA/UK5, US9].
